WordPress Developer (Junior / Mid-Level)

Rannlab Technologies is hiring a creative and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to build responsive, high-performance, and SEO-optimized websites. This role is ideal for Junior and Mid-Level WordPress developers who have a strong command over WordPress themes, plugins, Elementor, PHP customization, and modern web practices.

As a WordPress Developer at Rannlab, you will build websites for clients across diverse industries including SaaS, healthcare, IT services, EdTech, digital agencies, and enterprise organizations. You will collaborate with designers, SEO teams, content writers, and backend developers to deliver world-class websites.

About the WordPress Developer Role

The WordPress Developer role focuses on building custom WordPress-based websites, optimizing performance, managing themes/plugins, creating landing pages, developing WooCommerce stores, and ensuring clean and secure code.

You will play a key role in converting UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect web pages, improving overall website performance, generating reusable modules, integrating APIs, and enhancing user experience.

Key Responsibilities (WordPress Developer)

1. WordPress Development

• Develop responsive, SEO-friendly websites using WordPress.
• Work extensively with Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, or other page builders.
• Customize WordPress themes and templates to achieve desired layouts.
• Modify plugins or create new ones when needed.

2. PHP & Backend Customization

• Write clean and optimized PHP code for custom functionalities.
• Customize WordPress hooks, filters, actions, and shortcodes.
• Integrate REST APIs and manage backend workflows.

3. WooCommerce Development

• Set up eCommerce stores using WooCommerce.
• Customize product pages, cart, checkout flows, and payment integrations.
• Troubleshoot WooCommerce-related bugs and performance issues.

4. Website Optimization

• Improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, FID).
• Optimize database, images, caching, and minification.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and fast load speed.

5. Maintenance, Hosting & Security

• Manage hosting environments, cPanel, migrations, and DNS settings.
• Perform backups, staging deployments, and plugin/theme updates.
• Implement security best practices, firewall setups, SSL certificates, and malware protection.

6. Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with design teams to bring UI/UX concepts to life.
• Coordinate with SEO teams for on-page optimization and ranking improvements.
• Prepare documentation and ensure timely delivery of tasks and projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Elementor and modern page builders.
• Experience in customizing themes, plugins, and templates.
• Good understanding of SEO structure, URL hygiene, and website optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot UI/UX, plugin conflicts, and backend errors.
• Experience working with Git.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of WooCommerce configuration and customization.
• Understanding of hosting platforms like cPanel, AWS Lightsail, Plesk, DigitalOcean.
• Experience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields).
• Familiarity with security plugins (Wordfence, Sucuri).
• Knowledge of JSON APIs and website automation tools.
