Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic websites and applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in WordPress themes, Shopify, plugins, custom development, and optimization techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Development & Customization:
● Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites.
● Customize themes and plugins as per project requirements.
● Implement UI/UX designs into functional WordPress themes.
Plugin Development & Customization:
● Create and modify custom WordPress plugins.
● Debug and troubleshoot plugin-related issues.
Performance Optimization & Security:
● Optimize website speed and performance (caching, CDN, lazy loading, etc.).
● Ensure security best practices are implemented to prevent vulnerabilities.
Integration & API Development:
● Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, social media).
● Develop and maintain REST API integrations.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
● Diagnose and fix website issues (bugs, broken layouts, errors).
● Perform regular backups and updates to ensure website stability.
SEO & Web Analytics:
● Implement SEO best practices (on-page SEO, schema markup, etc.).
● Work with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other tracking software.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with WordPress, Shopify, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Proficiency in Custom theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg.
- Knowledge of WooCommerce, LMS, or Membership plugin.
- Experience with Git version control and CLI tools.
- Understanding of headless WordPress (REST API, GraphQL) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Certifications in WordPress development are a plus.
